He advises companies on leveraging a focus on people and their wellbeing to drive engagement, happiness, and business results. His transformational leadership at Ocean State Job Lot has earned the company a Rhode Island Healthiest Employer award for the past 2 years and in 2018 Ocean State Job Lot received the highest award possible from Blue Cross Blue Shield/ The Providence Area Chamber of Commerce for Health and Safety. All of this has led to marked improvements in health costs, associate turnover and engagement.
As a believer in collaboration and giving back, he is a presenter and collaborator for CHRO Online, the Corporate Executive Board HR Leadership Council, The Harvard Business Review Advisory Board, Bersin Leadership Exchange, McKinsey Executive Panel, and the Northeast Human Resource Conference. He is a consultant for several startups, and he sits on the Board of Job Club RI. His extensive volunteer work includes the Rhode Island Free Clinic and mentoring at the Institute for the Study of Nonviolence.
